You know those nights where an event has been planned for almost a week and everyone is so excited about it? Then when it finally comes people back out and give excuses on why they can't go anymore? Well that happened last night. My friends and I all planned to go ice skating in SLC for a week and we were all so excited to go. Then the time came to pick drivers, the time we were going to leave, how much money it would cost, etc. Because thinking was invovled in the situation some people backed out on the trip and decided to stay home. But those of us who stuck it out and actually went had such a great time!
We all drove up to SLC (don't worry Dad, I didn't drive haha), and went to the ice skating rink right next to the Marriot Hotel. It was so beautiful! All the lights were up and Christmas music was playing in the background. We get up to the cashier to pay for our skates only to find out that it was "Employee Appreciation Day" and everything was free! I can't tell you how excited we were! haha It was awesome! It made the whole trip up there so worth it! We lased up our skates and hit the rink. There were quite a few people there but we did not let that bother us one bit. We danced around the rink to "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" and loved everybit of it. We were in such a good mood and took a ton of pictures. I love the holidays!
Our three guy friends came with us (our only guyfriends our age) and were goofing off being guys. Party Foul! Lance tripped over Alejandro and accidently cut open Alejandros hand with his ice skate blade. It was a pretty deep gash and there was a lot of blood. We rused Alejandro inside to first aid people who worked there. They rapped his hand up and told us to take him to the emergency room because he was in need of stiches. Alejandro took it like a man and didn't even complain. He was taking it really well and making jokes out of it the whole time. If it was me or another one of the girls, we would be bauling and freaking out. haha!
So we decided to drive back to the hospital in Provo. Alejandro went back to get stiches and since it was going to take a while, the rest of us decided to go to the cafeteria! This is not just any cafeteria...it is a gormet hospital cafeteria. It was midnight and still bustling with people. I got a delicious hamburger and fries for only 2.12! We hadn't eaten all night so this hit the spot. We decided that when nothing else is open in Provo and we are hungry, we are going to the hospital cafeteria! They have everything there! While we were in line, a doctor asked if he could go ahead of us. I looked over at him and freaked out in my head! It was Doctor McDreamy from Greys Anatomy for sure! His name tag said "Derek" and he looked like him! I quickly stepped aside and let him go infront of me.
Alejandro went home with 5 stiches. Besides Alejandro's accident, that night was one of the funnest nights we have had!
