Twenty

Well, I have been 20 for a week and it feels great! haha. To be honest, I don't feel any different. I love when people ask you on your birthday, "Well, how does it feel to be __?" Nothing really changes. I think the real changes happen later on in the middle of the year or when you don't even know you are changing.

I had a great birthday this year! My parents were in Israel and I missed not being able to have my Sunday birthday dinner with them. But they had a great time and I am sure they will be blogging about it so check out their blog!

Kate, Amanda, Sam, and I went to Salt Lake City for my birthday weekend. We stayed over night on Saturday at the Marriott Hotel. My Uncle Scott used to be the manager there and was so nice and upgraded us to a Suite!! We went shopping all day on Saturday and I purchased my first real pair of high heeled shoes! I am 20 so I have to wear high heels now...duh. Learning to walk in them is a whole different story.

We then went back to the hotel, changed into our swim suits, and wore our robes down to the pool. No one was in there so we had a blast just relaxing in the hot tub and having hand stand contests in the pool. Then we each laid down on the lounge chairs and fell asleep for an hour!

After taking showers and getting dressed we went to The Pie Pizzeria for dinner. It is my favorite restaurant in SLC. It's so "college". Underground pizza joint, dark lighting, sports playing on the TV in the background, greasy tables, and packed with college students. And the BEST pizza and rootbeer.

The girls paid for a birthday cake and ice cream and we opened presents back at the hotel. I got some great stuff from them. I have such wonderful girlfriends :) After we stuffed our faces with cake and ice cream we did some prank calling, prank texting, and girl talk. We went to bed around 1, excited for the next day to follow!

On Sunday morning we walked to the Tabernacle and saw Music and the Spoken Word. Watching the Motab rehearse before it started made me miss Monte Vista Choir and performing. The "spoken word" part of it was just what I needed to hear. I love our Gospel.

We checked out of our hotel and made our way to The Grand American Hotel for brunch. I can't even explain how delicious the buffet was. I have never eaten so much in my life! Some of the foods we had were: crepes, omelets, crab legs, sushi, smoothies, french bread, prime rib, chicken, pasta, chocolate covered strawberries, bread pudding, chocolate cake, carrot cake, and more!!

Overall it was a great 20th birthday. Thanks to everyone for your gifts and wishes!
