I love old movies. My dad got me loving old classic movies at a very young age. Our family has always owned more old movies then new released movies. There is something about a good classic movie that just makes me want to cuddle up on the couch and sink into that time period. It probably has something to do with the men in these movies. Just to name a few: Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, Rock Hudson, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Stewart, Elvis Presley, Gene Kelly, Marlon Brando, and Bing Crosby. They are all so intelligent and manly. They are all the definition of a gentleman. This might have something to do with the fact of why I am so picky with guys. Someday my Cary Grant will come...
Now the men in these movies are not the only reason I like them. The women play a very big role in my obsession for old movies. Doris Day, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Katharine Hepburn, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Ellen. They are all incredibly gorgeous and distinguished. They are all my idols. Grace Kelly especially.
One movie that my roommate Kate and I have been watching a lot lately is Pillow Talk. If any of you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it. Doris Day and Rock Hudson are amazing in it! Doris Day even sings in it! And Rock Hudson is hilarious! Here is my favorite scene from it.
If you ever want to just take a day off and watch movies, please watch these.
