The Monster Mash

Halloween is always an adventure every year. My costume ideas change every day and I always end up eating way too many mini kit-kat bars. This year I was three costumes for Halloween. There are multiple parties in Provo Halloween weekend and you obviously can't be the same thing for each one.

For the first little get together with friends I wore one of my Aunt's outfits that my Grandma Holt made for them in High School. Straight from the 70's. It is an amazing outfit and I wish outfits like this would come back into style.

Then the night before Halloween my ward had a party in our underground parking garage. My roommate Meg and I were dalmatians and my other roommates were pregos, aka "baby mammas". It was hilarious. After our ward party we went to another party that a bunch of our friends put on and danced the night away in our costumes. It was a really fun night!

The next day I decided to go home to Huntsville and be with my family on Halloween night. I am so glad I made that decision because it turned out to be such a great night. When I got to the house I looked through all of our old costumes we wore when we were little and came up with a vampire costume. It was fun to dress up as something scary! My mom dressed up as what she looks like in the morning with curlers all in her hair and my sister was a sweet looking ninja. Bart had the best costume of all. He dressed up as my little brother Price. IT WAS PERFECT. I seriously thought he was Price all night. Price is loving flannels these days. He has about five flannels but all different colors. He wears his red one the most. Bart found a red flannel, a Vans hat, a long haired wig, and tight skinny jeans. I couldn't stop laughing all night.

My mom and I made chicken salad sandwiches for dinner and we all watched "To Kill A Mockingbird", which has been a Halloween tradition for longer than I can remember. Nothing is better on Halloween night than a little Boo Radley.

I love Halloween!!

Rach,

You looked great in all the outfits. Just to clarify- the 70's outfit was actually worn by G-Ma Holt back in the day. She will love to see you in it. She gets a kick out seeing all the kids/grandkids wear all her old outfits.
