pliny.

I am taking a Nature of History class this semester. It's a prerequisite to my Senior Thesis class. Basically we read a lot of ancient historical documents and listen to our amazing crazy teacher talk about her life. I love my teacher. She is the definition of WISE and HILARIOUS. I wish I could record my classes because she says too many funny things to remember.

Anyway- today, we read a historical document that a Roman historian wrote in around 112 A.D. In it he states,
"...but history cannot fail to give pleasure however it is presented. Humanity is naturally inquisitive."

Love it. Love this quote because that is exactly how I feel about history. Not everyone loves history. Many people look at me strange or make a "uh that's boring" face when I tell them my major. But I just smile because I enjoy it so so much. Every history class I take is just an interesting story for me. I look forward to lectures and note taking. I am so glad I found something that I am interested in this much.

Pliny was right. Histroy never fails to entertain me.
