Summer time...when the livin's easy

Can I just express to all of you how excited I am for summer. I don't think a day passes that I don't long for the warmth, the no homework or tests, and of course Ticklehook! Visiting our house in Hunstville a couple weeks ago made me realize that this house is a real thing. For 8+ years we have been talking about our "house" that we are going to have in Hunstville someday. And in less than 4 months it will finally be done!

This summer I decided not to go home. I am getting a job in Salt Lake somewhere ((hopefully an internship or a cool job that Uncle Scott will help me out with)). In the months of May and June I will be living with Meriel and Bart when they move up closer to Salt Lake! And in the months of July and August I will be living in Ticklehook! It's going to be a fun summer!

The Hunstville house is going to be, in the words of Price, "SIIICK!" Here is a day in the life of us at Ticklehook. ((This is in honor of Dad and all of his visions of what it will be like at the house haha))

We wake up in our beautifully furnished rooms by Jenny. Walk down the staircase overlooking the amazingly done rock fireplace into the kitchen where Mom is cookin up some of Grandma Holt's famous pancakes. While eating pancakes with log cabin syrup on our round wooden table, we look out into the backyard and onto the lake where people are starting to take boats out for the day. After breakfast we head on back upstairs and get ready for a fun day in the lake, our pool, or a game of life-size SORRY! I will be gearing up for some wakeboarding, thats for sure. Believe it or not I am a pretty good wakeboarder. Anyway then after the long day of fun is over we hop in the steam shower or sauna to relax before the night festivities begin. After the showers are taken, we help Mom with dinner. Probably some BBQ of Dad's or Pizza from our brick oven. After dinner we go upstairs to Dad's card room and play a round of "Oh My Heck", Scrabble, or MahJong. By this time the little kids are in bed in their bunkrooms. Then the rest of us make our way down to the Home Theater for some high quality entertainment. We watch one of our favorite movies. Probably Casablanca or something...haha just kidding. Dad wishes. Then we retire for the night in our beds to wake up the next morning realizing that we have the best vacation house ever!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for making it happen!

Yes, I am so excited! We have to spend like every weekend up there! I can't wait to organize stuff with mom too. I love that kind of stuff. I'm excited for comfy furniture, good food, and good fun.
