Row, Row, Row Your Boat

On Friday Laurel and I dropped the kids off at Brad's work's daycare and had the day to ourselves! We started out with brunch at Sara Beths. So yummy! Laurel had "Flat and Fluffy French Toast" with strawberries and a scone. I had a delicious cheese omelet with a pumpkin muffin. Then we took a trip to the new Whole Foods that just opened down the street from Laurel's building. We walked around the whole store and took our time without having to worry about the kids. We picked up food for dinner and then headed home. Our initial plan was to take a quick nap and then head down to the pool/balcony to lay out in the sun and read. Two and a half hours later...we realized we had slept too long and didn't have time for that. After we picked up the kids and put them to bed, Laurel and Brad went out to dinner and I stayed in with the kids. It was a great relaxing day. The agenda for next friday during daycare: brunch at another cute place, The Dark Knight matinee, beach cruisers on Governor's Island. Can't wait!

Yesterday Laurel, Avery, and I had a girls day and went out to Central Park. We spent the day rowing boats on the lake! It was only $12 to rent the boat for an hour. Laurel and I took turns rowing and laughing about how slow we both were. After a while, we got the hang of it and rowed around the whole lake. It was such a beautiful day! The buildings looked so pretty popping up over the trees. Avery even spotted a turtle on the rocks! I just love this city and being with my sister and her kids!

P.S. Laurel and I re-discovered their Nintendo 64 Tetris! She is sooo good but I need to brush up on my skills. This is for Meriel, Mom, Dad, and Price: we started laughing so hard when we scrolled through the names and found, "Gaggle B" and "Luckyme" hahahaha! Good times, good times.

It looks like you are having such a great time over there and I am really jealous! I want to go to New York so much! When you're an expert, make a list of all the things that you should do while you're there so I'll know what's important and what's not so cool.
