danville is for lovers.

This pretty lady got hitched. I spent all last weekend celebrating the marriage of Lauren and Jeff Thompson. It was wonderful. All of us spent the entire weekend doing fun fun activities and enjoying each other's company.

The first day of happiness began with a drive to Capitola and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. We had lunch in Capitola at Pizza My Heart (a tradish) and took pictures by the beach. Then we drove a little bit more to the boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Alysse got all 12 of us free unlimited rides so we got to ride the Giant Dipper rollercoaster until our hearts content. The weather was perfect, the lines were short, and the company was unbeatable.

The next night was the bachlorette party for Laur. All the girls painted plates for her to put in her new kitchen. We went to bed early to wake up the next day to see her and her new husband walk out of the gorgeous Oakland Temple. She's never looked happier and everyone said the ceremony was beautiful. This song was in my head all day. Even though it's a children's song, the lyrics and just perfect to me.

I love to see the Temple.
I'm going there someday.
To feel the Holy Spirit.
To listen and to pray.
For the Temple is a House of God.
A place of Love and Beauty.
I'll prepare myself while I am young.
This is my sacred duty.

Does she not look so amazing??

Following the temple, was the reception in an outdoor venue in Lafayette. There were trees and flowers everywhere which made it so romantic. The bridesmaids and groomsmen looked very classy and cute. Lauren and Jeff had a short ring ceremony led by Jeff's dad and it was very heartfelt and emotional. Then the party began! There was a delish buffet of food, and cookies and cake for dessert. The garter and bouquet were tossed, the cake was cut, and the first dance was danced. The DJ turned up the music and we all met eachother on the dance floor for some classic moves that anyone would be jealous of. Our friends are great at dance parties. We do it right.

Lauren and Jeff were sent off through a sea of bubbles and went on their way to Cabo for their honeymooning. I am so happy for them and know they will have such a great life together forever. I just love weddings. I love my friends. I love Danville, CA. Basically I loved every minute of this trip.
