just because.

Do you ever bake "just because"? I do it all the time. Last night I couldn't sleep, so what did I do? Made a box of Red Velvet cake. I may or may not have eaten half the batter while watching "When Harry Met Sally" (my go-to movie). I didn't even make cupcakes. I just threw the batter into a 9x13 cake pan and spread cream cheese frosting on top. It looked pretty ugly so I added some purple sprinkles. That didn't really help because it still looked pretty ugly. I had a couple bites and went to bed.

This morning I woke up and wondered what I should do with this "just because" cake. I can't give it to anyone because it's not some of my best baking work. So I cut it in half. One half for me and my roommates to take bites out of whenever we want, and the other half goes to Todd and his roommates. Boys don't care about presentation. They will eat any treat I give them.
